AirBerlin (AB)
AB will launch Saturday service between Dusseldorf (DUS) and Jersey (JER) using Embraer E190 aircraft.
American Airlines (AA)
AA will re-launch service between Miami (MIA) and San Diego (SAN) on 6/12/2013 using a Boeing 737.
AA plans to increase service between MIA and Guayaquil, Ecuador (GYE) to 14 weekly flights from existing 10 weekly flights beginning 4/4/2013.
British Airways (BA)
BA will launch inaugural service on the A380 between London Heathrow (LHR) and Los Angeles (LAX) on 10/15/2013.
BA will also launch service on the A380 between LHR and Hong Kong (HKG) on 11/15/2013.
Cathay Pacific (CX)
CX will continue increased service between HKG and LAX until 10/25/2013. The carrier typically operates 17 weekly flights between the city pairs. They’ve increased that frequency to 20 flights.
Finnair (AY)
AY will launch service from Helsinki (HEL) to Tel Aviv Yafo (TLV) on 6/7/2013 on Airbus A320 aircraft. The service will operate twice weekly.
Qatar Airlines (QR)
oneworld member-elect QR will delay the launch of service between Doha (DOH) and Chengdu (CTU) by six months. The carrier planned on launching the service on 3/19/2013 but will now commence on 9/3/2013.
Royal Jordanian (RJ)
RJ has launched service between Amman (AMM) and Algiers (ALG) using Airbus A319 aircraft. The service will operate twice daily at launch and then increase to three times weekly on 4/3/2013.
S7 Airlines (S7)
S7 will launch service between Moscow Domodedovo (DME) and Athens, Greece (ATH) using an Airbus A319 on 4/27/2013. The service will operate three times weekly until 10/13/2013, when it will become once weekly.
SriLankan Airlines (UL)
oneworld member-elect UL plans on launching service from and to Sri Lanka’s second international airport, Hambantota (HRI), on the following routes following the airport’s opening on 3/18/2013:
- Colombo (CMB) – Hambantota (HRI) – Male (MLE)
- CMB – HRI – Riyadh (RUH)
- CMB – HRI – Bangkok (BKK) – Beijing (PEK)
- CMB – HRI – BKK – Shanghai Pu Dong (PVG)
TAM Airlines (JJ)
oneworld member-elect JJ is reducing service on the Sao Paulo (GRU to New York John F. Kennedy (JFK) route from twice daily to once daily.
