American Airlines (AA) has upgraded the equipment it will be using on several European routes for the summer, and one route seems to have received a permanent upgrade. While these upgrades tend to happen every summer, it’s always good to make a note of the routes and timeframes that will be effected as it allows AA’s customers to plan their summer travel accordingly and brings the potential (though no guarantee) for additional First and Business class seats for upgrades and awards.
Passengers on AA flights between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Paris (CDG) can expect to see a Boeing 772 operating the route starting 7/2 and ending 7/30.
Additionally, passengers on AA flights between DFW and Madrid (MAD) can expect to see a Boeing 772 operating the route starting 6/11 and ending 8/26.
Passengers on AA flights between DFW and Frankfurt (FRA) can expect to see a Boeing 772 operating the route starting 6/12. Currently the 772 is shown operating the route through the end of the published schedule, so the change appears to be permanent for the time being.
